Don't really have to worry about SATA port anymore!!!

Finally, I don't need to find a motherboard with 8 or 10 or 12 SATA port, finally, my PC can have it's DVD drive back, finally I don't need to buy transfer all my data from my 1TB HDD to new 2TB HDD!! Yeaha!

Well, these days most motherboard only come with 6 SATA port (unless those expansive one), and the scarcity of SATA port in my motherboard had been making my life hard for the past few months.

Well, in the past, I use 1 SATA port for DVD drive, 1 SATA port for my C drive (windows and program files), while the rest is for important data files.

However, my files are increasing everyday, and I am running out of SATA port! I already got 4 1TB HDD and all is full already.

So initially I am down to few option:

1) buy a PCI-E SATA expansion card - BOUGHT, but failed to recognized by windows, hence dump into dustbin

2) change all my HDD into 2TB HDD - good idea, but what am I gona do with my 1TB HDD? Besides, 2TB HDD is very expansive past few months, only now the price is almost the same like 2*1TB

3) build a small PC (or even NAS) for storage - NAS is way too expansive, and I don't need RAID or shitz. PC just take up too much space.

And luckily, I finally found my solution!

The Hotway 4 Bay HDD Enclosure.



This is just like normal external HDD, only that this one can fit in 4 HDD instead of 1. Good! Now I can fit in all 4 of my 1TB HDD into it, connect it to my PC with E-SATA and ooomh! Besides, this small thing is also future proof since it can support up to 4*2TB! Woot!

So now, my motherboard SATA port is back to it's freedom. 1 port for C drive, 1 port for DVD drive, 1 port for 2TB HDD, I still left with 3! YEa!

but for samlee86.com, it seems to be doing a great job since now the total visits of samlee86.com is more than samlee860407.com already!

Bah, can't help it, who ask I didn't regularly update here :D

the question now is, my domain for samlee860407.com is gona expire soon, should i continue buying it? hm.....

Jump ship back to Windows!!

Sigh... I always thought I is can lick Jobs Balls, but then after using Macbook for more than 1 year for my work , I find that I am not utilizing it well at all....sigh

I din't find how good is it, neither I find that windows sucks (well, it do really got lesser crash, but it doesnt mean 0 crash), and since my home desktop was using windows, it's really damned mahuan for me to use mac in morning, then nite time use back windows.

Duh...i know can boot camp, but i is dont want.

Hence, I am selling my macbook NOW!!

Achievement!!!

Wee wee......its a riddle for people that don't know what happened to me for the past 4 months ++

It started at 6 during secondary school, it slowly climb to 7 without me noticing and finally it's stagnant at mid 7 for sometime during my universities years.

And hell, when I thought everything is fine at mid 7, it suddenly climb up to an alarming 8 without me noticing! This is madness, this is SPARTAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

At that point of time, I am scare, but still stubborn, calling people pussy and such.

Only until 1 fine day , which is early November 2009, I declare, this is no more, I is must stop it or let's dine in Hell!

Then thanks to superb determination, it goes down quite fast to end of 7, and even climb at an average speed to mid 7. However, time is bad. It's end of the year, where holidays are loaded, and almost every weekend is extended weekend, with Christmas and New Year poisoning me like nobody business.

However, luckily due to determination again, I force it to stay at mid 7 and not climbing back up. Ever since, slowly, inching, moving by centimeters or even millimeters, finally, and YESH finally it reaches 6 1 week before Chinese New Year!

Although it's still end of 6, but it's still a 6! I am happy! But again, 1 week long of Chinese New Year is bad. It's really not easy to stop it climbing from 6 to 7, however I did it!

Now, it was around mid 6, and I hope it maintain there :D
