Well, you will see youngsters, teens, adults, even aunty uncle carrying a DSLR when they walk around, and I always say they are crazy for burdening themselves with such big thing. Same goes to I always say I won't buy a DSLR, and a compact will do for me since it's just too hassle to carry around.

50mm f/1.8, nice choice
haha yea.
but if got money i will get the f1.4 liao , but just too mahal LOL
35mm 1.4? that one too exp, unless u interest in scenery and wedding shot.
i can suggest u one, everyday use purpose...tamron 17-50mm f/2.8, not at big apenture as 1.4 but got choice of range...ngiapz
no i mean 50mm f1.4
i mainly take is food picture, in love with food photography, what lense you recommend ar?
wide angel those later baru think, haha
btw what DSLR u using d?
oh ok lol, mistake...actually wat u using is good enough for food photography as long u have good large apenture, but i recommend u the 17-50 bcuz u no need adjust urself if the food is too cloz lol, ppl normally get ur lens for potrait or wedding shot
i using nikon D5000, if u wan to see the tamron len good ornot u can go my facebook album or http://devilangel.gfxartist.com
i see i see...i did try the 90mm tamron macro lense, but tak tau use, so din buy
haha. yea, chun how also tell me that 50mm is portrait, but after research , macam alot food blogger use 50mm f1.8 ma, so i ma use it lo :P
lucky u din buy macro len, those sipek exp and if tak tau use no good, unless u wan shot ulat on ur mee goreng la lol
hmm 50mm for all food blogger, interesting...find sometime if u come kl we can go outing haha, but i going back 26 this month
26th this month? meaning after CNY? :O
not all food blogger la, but like vkeong is using, and few more not so famous one.
Then again, some in the net recommend either 50mm or tamron 90mm macro, or 35mm, since 50mm cheapest, so i opt for it lo, haha.
and yea, macro lense really hard, not suitable for beginner at all lol
ya 26 this month, 35 is the most optimum range for food shooting, but oso a famous wedding lens, so is exp lol, macro all the while exp so no need see lol, if wan play macro go get macro converter can d...cheaper haha
lucky u get canon, got L lens those....damn sien nikon takde haha
